" A child's life is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark."
All about me
Hello and welcome! I am a Junior at Iowa State University with a passion for teaching and supporting young children. I have worked as a paraprofessional in special education classrooms for the last four years. I have worked with children of all ages, but early childhood is my passion. I love watching children grow and develop lifelong skills. The most rapid brain development occurs in Early childhood and it is the greatest thing to be able to scaffold children's abilities. My hobbies outside the workplace and classroom include Going to spin classes, spending time with family, and going outdoors! I will graduate in the Spring of 2024 with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with the following endorsements.

My teaching philosophy!
I believe that all students should have access to a fair and quality education, free of discrimination, regardless of race, class, sex, gender, religious beliefs..etc. My classroom will be a welcoming, inclusive environment where students can feel welcomed and safe to be themselves. As an educator, it is my responsibility to shape the next generation of young minds to have a growth mindset and work towards their goals. Parents will be welcome to speak to me about concerns they have and help share academic and social goals they have for their child with me. My responsibility is to make sure all cultures are being represented and respected in the classroom. Professionalism does not end when I leave the classroom. I am a teacher even in the public eye when I am out of my contract hours. I am always representing my District, and my acts will reflect this. I will base my curriculum on the needs of my students and use developmentally appropriate practice to help them meet social and academic goals. As an early childhood educator, I will guide my students to be creative, and active learners through play, discovery, and art. Learning should be fun!
