Description Of Activity

For a literacy project, I created a book on story jumper. The book Red Cy, Red Cy What do you see? was inspired by "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see? Young Children See a springtime-themed book with lots of different colors and scenery. Students reading the story can associate colors and scenery with the words following the story.

ITSE Standard

2.6.a Facilitator: Educator will foster a culture in which students take ownership of their own learning goals and outcomes in independent and group settings. In creating a digital story, students take the front seat in this activity, they are in control, and this is their story.

As an educator, I allow students to show me what they know and choose how they want to tell their stories. I am here to show them the digital tools, and they take ownership of literacy goals. Giving students the technology allows them to create a personal product they are proud of.
