As an Educator, I will use technology to create, adapt and personalize learning experiences that foster independent learning and accommodate learner differences and needs.
Using scratch to make a custom greeting card, I let students show me their creativity and create a unique product.

This approach is more effective than just a teacher-directed activity. I take on a role as the facilitator and guide so that students can adapt the greeting card to their liking.
Greeting cards are custom with limitless possibilities. Students can create this project with a loved one or friend in mind, which motivates them and helps them establish early coding skills.
Description of Activity
Using scratch, I created an animated greeting card with instructions for the user. This project included music and sounds. I used Pokemon as a beloved childhood icon by many to show just how exciting and fun students can make projects.

What is more engaging than using animations of things you love and tying them to prove you understand standards in the classroom? This project meets the interests and needs of all learners. You don't like Pokemon? Make any kind of animation you do like!
