Description Of Activity
Using Screencast-O-Matic I created a math lesson that would be perfect for distance learning. Students in Kindergarten learn how to count using visual representations.
I used a childhood favorite, Pokemon to make the lesson fun and connect things young children like to make math connections.
ISTE Standards
2.7 Analyst 2.7.a I will Provide alternative ways for students to demonstrate competency and reflect on their learning using technology. Using GoogleJam board and screencasting a math lesson, I use tools that make math fun and change the way students see math.

I teach students to count using a visually appealing array of cartoon animations instead of just having them do a worksheet or look at plain numbers in a set. I set up my math lesson so that students can become competent in counting using digital resources if they are struggling using regular alternative methods.
